This item is a hand signed baseball from former MVP Detroit Tiger, Miguel Cabrera. It was signed in person after a game against the Minnesota Twins in 2012, also the year that Cabrera won the first Triple Crown in 45 years. This is not only a rare piece but a significant one given the magnitude of the Triple Crown. 

Prior to a Detroit Tigers game vs the Minnesota Twins in 2012 that I attended, I was lucky enough to have seats only four rows up from the field. As players were warming up, I was standing by the fence and asking players as they walked back to the dugout for autographs. Miguel Cabrera was the biggest name in Major League Baseball, so you could imagine my surprise when he walked up to me and took my baseball to autograph. What I didn’t know that later that year he would win baseballs Triple Crown (league leader in batting average, home runs and RBI’s). This had not been done in 45 years and was one of the most elusive records in MLB history. This baseball not only has incredible personal significance but also historical significance as it was such a rare feat to accomplish.
